While others only went under the electronic detector he made me come out of the queue, sat me down in a corner, thoroughly checked my bags and at the end saw the chain in my neck and asked me – "Does that protect you from evil?"

Close brushes with death/danger
I was learning to drive our new santro in 1997-98. When I was with my dad in the car and I was behind the wheel, something in me said - "Brake". I immediately stopped and got off the car. I saw that I had stopped the car a couple of inches from a guy sleeping on the road. Thank you god!

4. I used to read the History text book in my 10th standard just so that I fall asleep.
5. Keeping an alarm at 6 AM when you know that there is no chance of getting up and seeing the sun rise. It is the morning sleep that is most pleasurable.

The magic lamp.

Chili told me he other day - that he read it somewhere that - Be very careful about what you wish. You might get it.

Ofen, there is a conscious mind wishing for something and a subconscious mind hoping for the opposite just so that you can carryon with your fruitless lazy activities only because it would be a touch easier. [I can quote a lot of examples but I think it would be inappropriate to be shared on the blog.]

In the last few days I have at some point wished for things to not happen for me only because I was confused (and ofcourse, I wanted to carry on with my fruitless lazy activities). I got what I wished for. I was disappointed at my wish coming true...

So be very careful about your wishes, the genie is waiting to grant you your wish...

Instinctive thinking

I term this my theory. If anyone had come-up with the theory before me, I am ready to pay royalty...

Practically no one thinks practically always. There is an instinctive part and a practical part. Practicality comes only after instincts fade away. Does it not? When instinctive thinking gets serious, you start basing your decisions on instincts. I don’t see a problem as such basing decisions on instincts. The advantage is that your decision changes every few days. In light of practicality, this could be a disadvantage. An instinctive thinker cannot be termed confused- though he is a touch better than the eternally confused, I would rather rate them equal. The difference between an instinctive thinker and a confused mind is that an instinctive thinker is perfectly sure of what he wants at any particular point in time, but changes what he wants with the morning alarm every day, while a confused mind has more than one decision on mind at every point in time.

.... Forget it; I have changed my mind about writing this blog. Instinctive thinker, I am!!
